On the night of May 23, 2015, Memorial Day weekend, torrential rain poured relentlessly in Wimberley, Texas, and a towering 40-foot wave of water obliterated everything in its path. This devastating storm claimed the lives of 13 individuals and left a profound impact on this small Texas community. Tony Maxwell (Founder of TSG) felt compelled to act. Witnessing the widespread devastation, he recognized an urgent need for support and restoration efforts.

Driven to make a tangible difference, Tony began organizing individual fundraisers and cookouts to aid recovery. However, he realized that a more concerted and organized approach was necessary to address the scale of the challenges faced by his community and others across Texas.

In 2019, inspired by the resilience and spirit of unity displayed in the face of adversity, Tony founded Texas Style Giving (TSG). Drawing upon his network of friends, family, and business contacts, he established TSG as a non-profit organization supporting Texas communities through strategic fundraising initiatives.

TSG operates on the premise of collective giving, engaging both individuals and businesses in contributing to meaningful causes. Through collaborative efforts and community involvement, TSG maximizes the impact of charitable donations, channeling resources towards reputable Texas-based nonprofits addressing critical issues.

Despite encountering unforeseen obstacles, including the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, TSG remained resolute in its mission. Through adaptability and perseverance, TSG successfully overcame challenges, culminating in the launch of its inaugural fundraiser in spring 2023.
